As you can see, the Planetary Health Check website has unveiled a comprehensive redesign aimed at making planetary boundaries science more accessible, engaging, and actionable for users worldwide.

At the heart of the update is a newly expanded section for each of the Planetary Boundaries, offering new insights from our latest report (downloadable from the homepage) and including deeper dives into the latest research on Earth’s systems, from Climate and Biodiversity to Freshwater and Land Use.
The Planetary Boundaries section also visualizes the nine Planetary Boundaries that define a safe operating space for humanity. Each boundary—such as Ocean Acidification, Biosphere iIntegrity, and Novel Entities—is presented with interactive graphics, current status indicators, and clear thresholds to help everyone understand where the planet stands. This redesign not only enhances usability but also reinforces the site’s mission: to empower individuals, educators, and policymakers with the knowledge needed to safeguard Earth’s future.
A separate Science section features simple explainers tailored for curious minds of all ages, alongside more technical resources for those seeking rigorous scientific detail. Complementing this is a dynamic News section, designed to keep visitors informed with real-time updates on our developments, planetary health trends, policy developments, and breakthrough studies from the Planetary Boundaries Science Lab.
